I've never been one to buy into fads, or follow a fashion in business or my personal life. When I come across a group of people passionate to the point of obsession, be it over electronics, music, religion or any other lifestyle choice, I stand firmly unaffected - determined to forge my own opinion. Afterall, how boring a place would this rock we inhabit be if we all shared the same dreams.
So when I joined the U2CanRun team, I was steadfast in a sort of determination to not get 'sucked in' to the overwhelming passion that my new colleagues shared for running... I couldnt have been more wrong.
I went on my first run (begrudgingly) 3 months ago, and... well... hated it. But the next day, I was determined to do better, and just had to run again. After a week, as well as being quite sore, I was very much eating my own shortminded words - I love this sport.
U2CanRun has taught me new disciplines, which believe it or not, I am now able to utilise in my professional and personal life. Don't belive the hype - but for godness sake NEVER dismiss it. Trust me - if I can run (and love it) you too really can run!
